In the latest episode of the thrilling AEW Dynamite: Beach Break, Daniel Garcia had to endure a loss to the proficient AEW International Champion, Will Ospreay. After their energetic match, MJF ambushed Garcia, delivering a crushing tombstone piledriver from the turnbuckles.
Post this unsettling event, AEW provided some insight into Garcia’s wellbeing.
A tweet from AEW divulged that Garcia had been “swiftly transported to a medical facility in Chicago for further examination.” The one-time ROH Pure Champion regained his senses and is currently monitored for possible “cervical damages.”
In their tweet, AEW shared, “IMPORTANT HEALTH UPDATE CONCERNING DANIEL GARCIA! In the aftermath of a ruthless encounter with @The_MJF tonight on #AEWDynamite, @garciawrestling has been moved to a Chicago-based hospital for a thorough check-up. He has regained consciousness and remains under close watch due to cervical injuries.”
