AEW is progressively setting up Collision tapings on Thursdays, a move that is reportedly well-received by the talent roster. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW’s wrestlers are appreciative of the shifted Thursday tapings schedule.
The wrestlers, who already travel for Wednesday programming, find it more convenient to stay an extra day for taping rather than making a return trip on either Friday or Saturday. The slight difference in viewership ratings between live shows and taped ones does not validate the need to broadcast live every week, especially if it could negatively impact the satisfaction of the performers.
