Welcome to a new eWrestlingNews Query of the Day!
This evening we have another four-hour unique edition of Dynamite & Collision titled AEW Summer Blockbuster. Before it kicks off, let’s engage in some speculative predictions, because, as always, anything might occur.
Our question for today is “What are your assumptions for AEW Summer Blockbuster?”
We encourage you to share your opinions in the comment section below.
When it comes to my response…
To be absolutely honest, I’m not expecting as many surprises as there potentially could be. For instance, Toni Storm is likely to defeat Julia Hart and might engage in a comical face-off with Mercedes Mone or, at the most, Mercedes might do something to lose Storm a match that is relatively insignificant. Usual stuff. Predictably, Kyle Fletcher will defeat Anthony Bowens, Thekla triumphing over Queen Aminata, and so on.
Following Swerve Strickland’s victory over Will Ospreay at Forbidden Door 2024 , I’d go with Ospreay emerging victorious this time.
The Hurt Syndicate are led to win their triple threat match unless an interruption from Mistico causing issues for MJF and setting up a match at Grand Slam Mexico.
Obviously, this is not enough to fill out 4 hours, so I anticipate additional matches will be announced, mainly focusing on the Collision aspect.
Crucially, I would like to voice out my prediction that there will be a declaration of a Winner Takes All match between Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega, being aunified title contest, rather than the win merely equating to holding two belts. I suspect that this may be announced during the contract signing as the transformation to the Intercontinental Championship. However, even if that’s the case, it might still end up being played out at All In itself.
