AEW Rings In The New Year While Hangman Drinks Alone On Being The Elite
The latest edition of Being The Elite sees the entire AEW roster celebrating the start of 2020 at TIAA Bank Field, the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars. You can see a huge banner ringing in the new year across the stadium before we cut to an indoors shot of everyone celebrating. Be sure to keep your eye out for Peyton Royce and Renee Young in the crowd, even if the cameraman tries his best to keep them out of frame. More front and center is Cody’s genuine excitement at what the company has accomplished in the last twelve months.
After watching a football challenge completed by The Hybrid2, Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford run into Kenny Omega and Riho. They exchange words about intergender wrestling and leave on a sour note, possibly setting up a future AEW contest.
Finally, Adam “Hangman” Page sits alone talking to an expressive bartender about AEW’s holiday party. He references the previous year’s party, which was put on by Marty Scurll, yet another reference towards the former Elite member. He then talks with Private Party about their upcoming tag team match. Despite the constant references, it seems like Marty’s future isn’t set in stone. It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.
