Reports have suggested that The Lucha Brothers, comprising of Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix, are purportedly planning on exiting AEW to join WWE after their contracts’ termination.
It is forecasted that Penta’s tenure with AEW will conclude between August and September, followed by the expiration of Fenix’s contract later in the same year.
An earlier report from Fightful insinuated that the Lucha Brothers are contemplating forming a tag team in WWE, even in the face of a fresh contract proposal by AEW. The conditions proposed by AEW purportedly match what Penta communicated that WWE is poised to offer.
Inside sources from AEW have voiced apprehensions regarding the Lucha Brothers’ adherence to sound business ethics, leading to their exit. It is suggested that Penta’s denial of these reports strategically facilitates Fenix’s hurdle-free exit.
Recently, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter revealed an update on the apprehension in AEW circles over the right to elongate Fenix’s contract for an additional twelve months due to the time he was unavailable due to injuries.
Rumors surfaced about Penta moving to Orlando, FL, sparking discussions among fans about him possibly transitioning to the WWE Performance Center despite still being under AEW’s contractual obligations.
