At the AEW Full Gear 2024 event on Saturday night, Kyle Fletcher and Will Ospreay had a thrilling singles match. The match concluded with Fletcher delivering a tombstone on the steel steps and a brainbuster from the top rope. This clear victory over Ospreay marked a significant moment for Fletcher, potentially indicating a character or storyline shift.

There was also a turn of events when Mariah May betrayed Mina Shirakawa at the event. May tried to surprise Shirakawa with a champagne bottle during a celebration, but Shirakawa quickly dodged and responded with a stage-dive spear. Lastly, Mercedes Mone managed to retain her TBS Championship title against Kris Statlander. Despite Statlander managing to withstand Mone’s Mone Maker finisher (a first in AEW), Mone was able to secure her win by propelling Statlander into the ropes which allowed Mone to pin her. This win maintains Mone’s reign as TBS Champion, which began on May 26 at Double or Nothing.
