AEW Files Trademark For ‘Double Jeopardy,’ Ricky Starks & Jay Lethal File Trademarks

Pwinsider reports that AEW filed for a trademark on May 11 for the term “Double Jeopardy” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The description reads:

“Entertainment services in the nature of live wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of wrestling programs and events; Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing multimedia program featuring wrestling distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media.”

Claudio Castagnoli battled Rey Fenix in a “Double Jeopardy” Match last week on AEW Dynamite. Also, AEW star Jay Lethal filed a trademark for his previously used Black Machismo nickname on May 11 with the following description:

“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestlers and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring professional wrestling and sports entertainers in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”

Ricky Starks also filed a trademark on his own ring name on May 11.
