In previous news as covered by eWn, it was revealed that AEW shows and pay-per-view events are soon to be accessible for streaming on HBO MAX, a platform owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, starting from the upcoming year. It appears that in anticipation of this, AEW is filing fresh trademarks.
The reported applications for trademarks by AEW, namely “AEW Max Month,” “AEW WrestleMax,” and “WrestleMax,” have been submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) under the entertainment services category. The submission date was on October 25.
Below lie the official descriptions for these trademarks:
“Live wrestling performances in the form of entertainment services; Production of wrestling programs and events included in entertainment services; A continuing multimedia program on wrestling being distributed via multiple platforms across numerous transmission media, classed as entertainment services; A continuous wrestling series provided through television and the internet, under entertainment services; Production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the wrestling sector, as part of entertainment services; A series centering around wrestling as part of educational and entertainment services, which can be accessed through radio, television, satellite, audio, video and computer networks.”
