AEW Dynamite Viewership Falls Below 1 Million Viewers This Week
AEW Dynamite viewership dropped below 1 million viewers.
This week, Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership with the show dripping under one million viewers for the first time in a month. Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston reports that on August 11, 979,000 viewers watched the special “Homecoming” episode, down from the 1.102 million viewers who watched the show last week.
In the 18 to 49 demographic, the show scored a 0.35 rating, a decrease from last week‘s 0.46.
Brandon Thurston also noted the following:
“The only demo that performed much higher than normal was male viewers 18-34. There were more viewers in that demo watching Dynamite last night than Raw on Monday: Dynamite’s 115,000 to Raw’s 102,000. The most recent episodes of Raw and Smackdown were ahead of Dynamite in all other demo comparisons we have data for. The demo that fell the most for Dynamite, compared to the median of the last four weeks, was female viewers 35-49, down 50%, to 58,000 viewers in that group.”
This week’s show featured a match between Chris Jericho and Wardlow. Plus, Christian Cage was announced as the number one contender for both the AEW and IMPACT Wrestling World Championships.
