After shifting to Tuesday this week, AEW Dynamite registered its all-time low viewership and 18-49 rating.
The episode of AEW Dynamite, named Title Tuesday, pulled in 329,000 viewers and a 0.10 rating (128,000 viewers) in the pivotal 18-49 demographic, and a rating of 0.03 in the 18-34 demographic.
More information on the numbers, including a segmented analysis of the viewership per 15 minutes, was further shared by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Competing head-on with WWE NXT for the first hour, AEW Dynamite attracted 331,000 viewers and had a 0.09 (122,000) rating in the 18-49 demographic. The second hour, free from competition with NXT, brought in 327,000 viewers and a 0.10 (133,000) rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The show failed to make a place in the top 25 cable programs of the week, an unprecedented occurrence. It was ranked #9 in its time slot, missing out to a variety of other shows.
Additionally, AEW Dynamite couldn’t match up to the viewership of its run-up program, ‘The Big Bang Theory’, which also witnessed a fall in viewership, with 823,000 viewers and a 0.13 rating.
Comparing stats from the previous week, AEW Dynamite showed a significant drop in numbers – 51.6% in general viewership, 53.3% in the 18-49 demographic, and a steep 71.4% fall in the 18-34 demographic.
On a year-to-year comparison basis, AEW Dynamite’s viewership was reduced by 46%, the 18-49 demographic shrunk by 63%, and the 18-34 demographic plunged by 84.3%.
The granular statistics showed that the show pulled in 20,000 men aged 18-34 (a 67.2% decrease), 2,000 women aged 18-34 (an 88.9% decrease), 78,000 men aged 35-49 (a 44.3% decrease), and 28,000 women aged 35-49 (a 49.1% decrease).
