The December 27th episode of AEW Dynamite saw a significant increase in ratings and audience compared to the previous week’s multi-week low. According to Wrestlenomics, the show delivered a 0.31 rating in the key 18 – 49 demographic and attracted 843,000 viewers. This represents a 19.2% increase in the demo rating and a 7.8% increase in audience size from the previous week’s numbers of 0.26 and 782,000 respectively.

It is worth noting that the demo rating of 0.31 is the highest AEW has achieved since the October 18th episode, which also garnered the same rating. However, the total audience fell slightly below the 845,000 viewership recorded two weeks ago.

When comparing the overall performance of AEW Dynamite in 2023 to the same period in 2022, there has been a decline in both the demo rating and viewership. In 2023, the show has averaged a 0.294 demo rating and 864,000 viewers, whereas in 2022, it had a higher demo rating of 0.343 and an average viewership of 956,000.

These numbers indicate that while AEW Dynamite experienced a boost in ratings and audience for its December 27th episode, it still has some ground to cover to reach the levels achieved in the previous year. The wrestling industry is highly competitive, and maintaining consistent viewership is crucial for any promotion.
