AEW Collision Live Coverage: (July 8, 2023) – CM Punk vs. Samoa Joe IV

Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting! And what a night of action we are gonna be treated to tonight! I’m Tathya Sachdev, and welcome to eWn’s live coverage of AEW Collision!

Tonight’s blockbuster main event will see Samoa Joe and CM Punk in singles action for the first time in almost 20 years. And if they can live up to their trilogy of matches back in the day, we are in for something special! Meanwhile, Ricky Starks will face off against his former partner-turned-foe, Powerhouse Hobbs. Both these matches are semi-finals in the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament, with the finals set for next week’s episode of Collision in Calgary.

Also on tonight’s show, FTR will face Juice Robinson & Jay White in an “Eliminator” match, in what should be a solid (and sensible) tag team match. Meanwhile, an Owen Hart Tournament Women’s Semifinal match will see NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale cross paths with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena.
