Lately, there’s been a lot of talk about a potential cross-over between WWE and TNA Wrestling. However, a recent episode of NXT has sparked a considerable amount of discussion related to AEW, especially following a revelation about a particular individual behind the scenes at the show.
In the very episode (you can find NXT results here), there was a particular moment where Cody Rhodes was found behind the scenes, conversing with Shawn Spears, who expressed his desire to emulate The American Nightmare’s success by triumphing in the Royal Rumble and obtaining the championship, starting with the upcoming 25-man battle royal. Ethan Page joined the conversation, taunting Cody for neglecting to wish him luck, while Lexis King confidently declared himself as the anticipated winner. Cody’s response was merely “It seems like you guys are in a good place” before he exited the scene.
However, it appears there’s more to the story.
According to a report from Fightful Select (a big thank you to them), Rebel, a member of All Elite Wrestling, was spotted behind the scenes during the recordings, although the exact details of her participation and the reason behind her presence remain undisclosed.
It’s crucial to note that Rebel’s name is still present on AEW’s roster page, which recently witnessed some deletions with the exit of Arn Anderson, Jake Hager, Mark Henry, and Paige VanZant. Rebel, who has not appeared on screen since 2022 and shows a career record of just 1-10, primarily fulfilled the role of a manager and valet for Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. She was initially appointed for a behind-the-scenes role for cosmetology, managing the hair and makeup of the women’s division. Whether she’s still in this role or there have been changes is, as of now, unclear.
Could this appearance indicate she’s considering leaving AEW? Or is this simply a case of a casual visit to friends with nothing more to it? It’s always beneficial to keep up with the goings-on, and ensure to check back for any updates when available.
