Adam Maxted to Make a Comeback in OTT Wrestling, Michael Oku Pays Tribute to Mad Kurt

Adam Maxted has been absent from OTT Wrestling due to his appearance on “Love Island: All Stars,” but he is set to return to the promotion next month.

OTT has announced that Maxted will return for the Gaff Party events on March 2 and 3.

Maxted also tweeted that he is “Back home” with OTT. He last appeared at OTT’s ‘Now That’s What I Call Christmas!’ event in December.

OTT also announced that Renzo Rose will defend the NLW Championship against Big Damo at night two of the event on March 3.

Michael Oku defeated Will Ospreay in the latter’s final independent circuit matchup at RevPro ‘High Stakes’ over the weekend.

Oku paid tribute to the late ‘Mad Kurt’ Kurtis Chapman during the match by hitting the Sega Mega Driver on Ospreay.

Kurtis passed away in December 2023 at the age of 26.

In a recent interview with Cultaholic, Oku revealed how his late friend would’ve reacted to the victory had he been with us today.

You can check out some highlights from the interview below:

On paying tribute to Kurt: “I’ve always wanted to pay tribute to him. He was one of my closest friends and it’s just such a touch thing to still to wrap my head around that he’s not here anymore. It’ll be easy to do a tribute to him in a random match, but I want to tribute him in the biggest match I may ever have. I was like, ‘I gotta do the Sega Mega Driver. This may be the only time I’ll ever do it.’ I’m not planning to do it again. That’s the only time I’ll do it, I’m doing it here, it’s gonna help me beat Will Ospreay.”

On what Kurt’s reaction would have been: “He’ll be continuing to say that the reason I defeated Will Ospreay is because of him. He’ll make sure to say that. He’ll be like, ‘Come on, come on, I taught you that.’ ‘I have defeated Will Ospreay’, he’d be saying that all the time. [He’d claim it as his win], for sure, for sure.”
