On a recent episode of the podcast “This Is Important”, actor and comedian Adam DeVine engaged in a discussion regarding his attendance at AEW Revolution 2025.

As part of the preliminary Zero Hour event at AEW Revolution 2025, MxM Collection and Johnny TV suffered a defeat at the hands of Big Boom AJ, Orange Cassidy, and Mark Briscoe.

Subsequently, Adam DeVine and Tony Cavalero made quite an entrance when they executed a double-chokeslam on Mansoor.

Highlights from the podcast can be explored below:

Speaking about AEW Revolution, DeVine stated, “I was not prepared for such an intense event. It was a real showstopper, even more electrifying than the WWE matches I’ve seen. It had the shock-factor of the late 90s WCW and felt like a true competition to WWE. It was much more raw. There was a cage match with people bleeding profusely. As I was seated ringside, I found myself in the middle of the action with blood spilling everywhere. The use of thumbtacks in the ring added another layer of madness. It was intense watching wrestlers backflipping onto actual thumbtacks. Surprisingly, the thrill was epic.”

On the subject of the blood-spattered show, he noted, “I never thought I’d crave such a spectacle, but now I find myself drawn to it. It was mind-boggling. The [Toni Storm vs. Mariah May] match was a total blood-fest. It was shocking to witness the wrestlers use a screwdriver as a prop. It facilitated a wave of questions about how real the act was when it just stuck into the turnbuckle.”

DeVine also mentioned how enjoyable the entire event was, saying, “It was incredibly entertaining. All attendees were really amiable. Hanging out with Tony Khan, the owner of AEW, in his Super Bowl box was great. We had a blast partying afterwards. He comes across as very generous and adds another layer of enjoyment to AEW.”
