Adam Copeland has praised the fun, exciting nature of the fans who attend AEW events, which he believes is representative of what wrestling is.

Copeland debuted for AEW at the Wrestle Dream pay-per-view event in October of last year. He previously spent decades with WWE where he is a Hall of Famer.

On a recent edition of the “This is VANCOLOUR” podcast, Copeland spoke about the exciting nature of AEW events and how it demonstrates what wrestling should be. He said,

“Here’s what I love about AEW — it’s young and it’s exciting. The great thing about an AEW crowd is that you’ll have some dude come dressed up as Jesus, you’ll have a dude dressed up as the Macho Man. Everybody’s just coming to have fun. And that’s, to me, what professional wrestling’s always been.

“It’s been an outlet. Forget about the boss, forget about the bully, forget about whatever it is, and dive into this theater of the absurd. And that means larger-than-life characters, that means explosions, that means music, and it’s this giant fondue melting pot of entertainment.”

Copeland is the current AEW TNT Champion. He won the title from Christian Cage on the March 20, episode of AEW Dynamite in Toronto, Canada.

Adam Copeland, also known as Edge, has recently praised the fun and exciting nature of the fans who attend All Elite Wrestling (AEW) events. As a professional wrestler with decades of experience, Copeland believes that the atmosphere created by AEW fans is representative of what wrestling should be.

Copeland made his debut for AEW at the Wrestle Dream pay-per-view event in October of last year. Prior to joining AEW, he spent many years with WWE, where he became a Hall of Famer. Despite his successful career in WWE, Copeland has found a new appreciation for the energy and enthusiasm of AEW fans.

During a recent appearance on the “This is VANCOLOUR” podcast, Copeland expressed his admiration for AEW events and their crowds. He highlighted the youthfulness and excitement that permeate AEW shows, stating, “Here’s what I love about AEW — it’s young and it’s exciting.” He further explained that AEW fans come to the events dressed up as various characters, such as Jesus or the Macho Man, simply to have fun.

According to Copeland, this type of fan participation and enjoyment aligns with his understanding of professional wrestling. He believes that wrestling should serve as an outlet for people to forget about their daily struggles and immerse themselves in a theater of the absurd. Copeland emphasized that wrestling is about larger-than-life characters, explosions, and music, creating a melting pot of entertainment.

In addition to his praise for AEW fans, Copeland currently holds the AEW TNT Championship. He won the title from Christian Cage on the March 20 episode of AEW Dynamite in Toronto, Canada. This victory further solidifies his position within the AEW roster and showcases his continued success in the wrestling industry.

As AEW continues to grow in popularity and challenge the dominance of WWE, the support and enthusiasm of its fans play a crucial role. The endorsement from a respected veteran like Adam Copeland further highlights the unique and exciting nature of AEW events. With its focus on fun, larger-than-life characters, and a diverse range of fan participation, AEW is carving its own path in the world of professional wrestling.
