Adam Copeland wasted no time in joining AEW once his WWE deal expired in September 2023. He made his debut for AEW at the WrestleDream event in October.
Since then, Copeland has successfully won the TNT Title. This Saturday on Collision, he is scheduled to defend his title against Kyle O’Reilly.
During an episode of the Insight podcast, Copeland opened up about his transition from WWE to AEW.
“It happened so quick. My contract with WWE was up on, I want to say September 21st. That’s when I started talking to Tony [Khan.] It was September 22nd. And WrestleDream was October 1st. So it all happened within a week.”
