Now, he finds himself back in Philadelphia, once again basking in the accolades that come with championship gold. His remarkable achievement? Scooping up the AEW TNT Championship after a thrilling victory over the formidable Daniel Garcia at AEW Dynasty 2025.
In the initial stages of the contest, Cole attempted his classic Panama Sunrise move but didn’t land as intended, resulting in a possible injury to his leg – a development that Garcia did his best to exploit throughout their bout.
Paradoxically, Garcia’s intent focus on Cole’s potential damage might have been more of a setback than an advantage for him, as he neglected to pursue a decisive victory.
Subsequent Panama Sunrises and a strategic strike from behind saw Cole’s end to Garcia’s 135-day stint as a champion.
