Adam Cole Reveals That Daniel Bryan Wanted Their Match To Last A Full Hour
On WWE Backstage, Adam Cole discussed his last-minute match against Daniel Bryan on WWE SmackDown two weeks ago. “I’ve been watching Daniel Bryan for years, so selfishly, that was a match I really wanted,” explained Cole. “I didn’t expect it to be on such a large stage for the first time. Getting there at 8:20 and having to wrestle Daniel Bryan at 9:30 was crazy.”
However, Bryan wanted it to be longer. Cole reveals that Bryan said, “Please, let me go an hour with Adam Cole.” Former foe Samoa Joe said he wasn’t surprised by the request as he “wants the spotlight and wants the time to do what he does. He makes that pitch every chance he gets.”
Cole said facing Seth Rollins and Bryan were both special, but the match against Bryan is more special due to the madness of the last-minute flight.
