At this moment, it’s unclear which star is next in line to challenge Karrion Kross for the NXT Championship.
This week on WWE NXT, Johnny Gargano faced Kyle O’Reilly and Pete Dunne to determine Kross’ opponent in the title match at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. But the bout ended without a winner.
Dunne showcased the nasty offense he’s known for, wrenching his opponents’ arms and fingers at any given turn.

Meanwhile, O’Reilly and Gargano showcased the skills that brought them to the dance; the former NXT Champion used his veteran expertise to gain the upper hand throughout the bout while O’Reilly used his submission-based offense on his opponents.

At one point, Dunne seemed like he had Gargano on the ropes, but “Johnny TakeOver” reversed the Bitter End into an emphatic DDT. All three men kept battling, but former NXT Champion Adam Cole returned and left the trio lying after a brutal attack.

NXT general manager William Regal, accompanied by security officials, ordered Cole to leave. Cole walked to the back, and the match was seemingly ruled a no contest.
