Adam Cole and Britt Baker, a highly admired duo within the wrestling fraternity who began dating in 2017, recently ignited speculation about their separation.

This revelation caught fans off guard, who perceived the pair as the ultimate wrestling couple. Cole has now confirmed their breakup.

In a fresh dialogue with Sports Illustrated, Cole acknowledged that their love affair has reached its conclusion.

However, Cole stated that their regard for each other remains steadfast and they continue to maintain a friendly rapport.

Cole expressed his reverence for the ex-AEW Women’s World Champion, confirming that his desire is for her happiness and prosperity, a sentiment which she shares for him.

Although they’ve elected to split, Cole has no doubt that Britt will continue to play an instrumental role in his life and regards her as one of his closest companions.

Cole asserted, “We are no longer a couple. But when I say that we both still love each other and are still friends and still so supportive of each other, that could not be more true. I think the world of Britt. I want her to be as happy and successful as humanly possible, and I know she feels the exact same way about me. We did decide to go our separate ways, but that doesn’t mean that she will not be an incredibly important part of my life. Britt is absolutely one of my best friends. She’s someone that I love dearly and will always love dearly, and there is no ill will between me and her whatsoever.”

Exposure to online commentary about their split has been a tough ordeal for Cole. He underscored the complete absence of animosity between them and attested to the possibility for people to part ways while maintaining affection for each other.

Further, Cole voiced his wish for fans to appreciate that taking sides is not necessary.

He added, “I don’t want anyone to ever think that me and Britt dislike each other. I think it is possible, in situations, for people who are in relationships to kind of go their separate ways, but still care about one another. The last thing I would want is fans to pick sides or anything like that.”
