All night during tonight’s NXT, Finn Balor and Kyle O’Reilly were looking for answers from Adam Cole as to why he attacked them. During a six-man tag team match to end the night, Cole once again showed up, attacking both Balor and O’Reilly again and causing them to lose a big match.

In a six-man tag team match that saw Balor teaming up with Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong to face off against Pete Dunne, Danny Burch, and Oney Lorcan, it was Cole who got the last laugh. After the referee of the match was knocked out due to an inadvertent bump, Cole showed up and pushed Balor off of the top rope, and proceeded to kick and suplex O’Reilly on the metal steps outside of the ring.

Roderick Strong was able to get up and clear the ring once Cole left, and even attempted to give Balor his NXT Championship back, but was instead kicked by Balor, who had no clue it was Strong. A stunned Balor turned around only to be grabbed from behind by Pete Dunne, who hit his finisher on Balor and pinned him just as the referee came to. After the match, Cole once again came into the ring to deliver a big kick to Balor. With Balor knocked out in the ring, Cole surveyed the damage he caused before bending down to pick up the NXT Championship and pose with it.
