In a recent sit-down with Denise Salcedo of “Instinct Culture,” professional wrestler Serena Deeb expressed her excitement about being able to return backstage last week.
Deeb, during the chat, unveiled that a significant tally of female wrestlers were present at the television tapings of AEW (All Elite Wrestling) the previous week, aiming to get clearance for participation. She elaborated,
“In the women’s section, we’ve experienced quite a bit of a struggle as we vie for our positions and strive for our airtime. It’s been a communal effort. There’s also been significant growth in terms of the fresh talent that has joined the organization. We have been fortunate to welcome women like Toni Storm and Jamie Hayter. The division couldn’t possibly be more extraordinary now.”
Delving further into the subject, Deeb added, “Just the prior week, though I won’t let out any names in case they’re supposed to be surprises, there were a notable number of female wrestlers attempting to get clearance. It’s exciting because our roster is brimming with talent and it’s set to be even more so with returning players who had been off due to injuries. We’ll continue to strive for our positions. Tomorrow, I’ll be wrestling with Britt for its five-year anniversary, it feels like a beautifully rounded journey for me. It’s remarkable to see the progress from four years ago to the present. I feel privileged to be on the anniversary show. This place has breathed new life into my career and presented me with opportunities that I could have never imagined following my earlier chapters. I am honoured to be a part of this locker room and to continue upholding the standard for myself.”
