The roster for WWE NXT: Heatwave has a new addition — although it will be a part of the pre-show spectacle.
The opening act for WWE NXT: Heatwave is scheduled to commence at 6:00 PM EST and will now include more than just an expert panel unpacking and dissecting the card with various video clips. It will also have a live tag team match.
Previously, Sol Ruca had triumphed over Arianna Grace to secure an opportunity at Kelani Jordan’s NXT Women’s North American Championship. This past week on NXT, Grace expressed her disappointment over her defeat in the changing room and her regret at not being able to showcase her talents in front of her local Torontonians. During her conversation with Karmen Petrovic, Jazmyn Nyx and Jacy Jayne joined in, with derogatory comments thrown at Petrovic. After Petrovic lost her match with Nyx due to Jayne’s interference, she stormed into Ava’s office demanding another chance.
At that moment, Ava revealed to Petrovic that her friend had already requested a match from Ava, and it’s been scheduled. Petrovic assumed Natalya was the friend Ava was referring to, but it was actually Grace who will be pairing up with her.
