Dolph Ziggler, under his real name Nic Nemeth, has now taken up the honor of being the TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
The renowned wrestling event, TNA Slammiversary 2024, held on Saturday night, saw Nemeth clinching victory in a six-man elimination match, thereby getting his hands on the title.
A significant point of the match was when Moose, the second contender, was eradicated. This event confirmed the future crowning of a new champion.
As the match progressed further, Joe Hendry faced an unexpected heel turn from Josh Alexander, who landed a low blow and a C4 on him. In the final moments of the match, Nemeth found himself squaring off against Frankie Kazarian. Pulling off a Superkick and a Danger Zone, Nemeth managed to win the match.
Marking the end of Moose’s second reign as TNA World Champion after a 189-day stint, this victory denotes the beginning of Nemeth’s first-ever TNA World Championship tenure.
