Zack Sabre Jr. Criticizes Matt Riddle and Shares NJPW ‘Windy City Riot’ Betting Odds

Zack Sabre Jr. will face Matt Riddle at NJPW ‘Windy City Riot’ 2024, and he cut a promo on the NJPW World TV Champion following the Sakura Genesis event.

Sabre spoke about Riddle in a backstage promo, calling the former WWE Superstar the “King of F**king D**kheads.” He said,

“Last week, I sent Fujita to bring the NJPW World Television Championship back. Didn’t quite work out. First of all, I sent Bad Dude Tito. I thought he was gonna get the job done. But Matt Riddle might look like a f**king d**khead — because he is a d**khead — but he’s a serious fighter. One year with that championship, sixteen defenses. You’re gonna call me out, King of f**king D**kheads? You’re gonna call me out? Well, I’m gonna come and get the belt back, and I’ll bring it back to Japan.”

He continued, “The sight of you with that championship makes me violently ill. I don’t know what it is about Riddle. We’ve wrestled all over the world. I should like, what is he, laid-back, surfer, skater bro. I’ve lived in Okinawa. I’ve lived in California. I should love surfers and skaters. f**king hippies. I hate them all. Hippies are my mortal enemy. Surfer bros. They’re my mortal enemy. I’m the least spiritual being in the world. Unlike animals because humans are f**king c**ts. But Chicago, Riddle…then, after, I’ve got to figure out how to get the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship because my goals are exactly the same. G1, IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, Tokyo Dome main event. World Champion.”

Zack Sabre Jr. and Matt Riddle are set to face off at the NJPW ‘Windy City Riot’ event in 2024, and Sabre wasted no time in cutting a fiery promo on his opponent following the Sakura Genesis event. In his backstage promo, Sabre referred to Riddle as the “King of F**king D**kheads” and expressed his determination to reclaim the NJPW World Television Championship.

Sabre acknowledged that his previous attempt to retrieve the championship by sending Bad Dude Tito had failed, as Riddle proved to be a formidable fighter. He recognized Riddle’s impressive record of holding the championship for one year and successfully defending it sixteen times. However, Sabre made it clear that he is not intimidated by Riddle’s bravado and is determined to bring the belt back to Japan.

The British wrestler expressed his disdain for Riddle, stating that the sight of him with the championship makes him “violently ill.” Despite their shared experiences of wrestling all over the world, Sabre revealed his dislike for Riddle’s laid-back surfer and skater persona. He humorously mentioned his hatred for hippies and surfers, labeling them as his mortal enemies. Sabre emphasized that his ultimate goal is to not only regain the NJPW World Television Championship but also to pursue the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship and headline the Tokyo Dome main event.

In addition to Sabre’s promo, BetOnline has released the betting odds for two matches at the NJPW ‘Windy City Riot’ event.
