Triple H Reflects on Announcing In-Ring Retirement without Regret

WWE CCO Triple H does not regret announcing his retirement from the ring in 2022 as he has come to terms with the fact that he can’t wrestle again.

The Game announced in early 2022 that he was retired from in-ring competition after suffering a heart failure in late 2021.

On a recent edition of “The Pat McAfee Show” from ‘WWE World’, Triple H was asked about a potential return to the ring. He said,

“I still train, I still do all that. [But] I don’t think so. I don’t think I should be out there taking bumps. I rode it til the wheels fell off, almost literally. I’m great with that and I was at a place where I should have been retiring anyway. I wanted to be done with it.

“The last year right before this all happened, I had been asked to go to WrestleMania for 2 days [and] ‘I need ya, you can work with anybody you want.’ I said, “I don’t think I wanna do it.” … I thought about it and I was gonna go back and say I’m not doing it and then I had to not do it so I was already there. I’m good with it. I have zero regrets.”

Triple H became a 14-time WWE World Champion during his career, a WWE Triple Crown Champion, King of the Ring, and a two-time WWE Royal Rumble match winner.
