Corey Graves Discusses How Cody Rhodes Has Revolutionized the Concept of Heroism

On a recent edition of the “Short and to the Point” podcast, WWE broadcaster Corey Graves lavished praise on Cody Rhodes’ work ethic as the next face of WWE.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On his relationship with Cody Rhodes: “Cody’s a guy that I’ve known for a long time. Obviously, I was very close with his dad, Dusty, in a professional capacity, but I had known Cody back when I was an ‘NXT’ wrestler and I would get to go do some of the live event loops with the main roster. And Cody was a guy who would often times either jump in my car or let me ride with him.”

On how hard Cody works: “Cody is a guy who puts in the work on a level that I don’t know that I’ve ever seen, say for perhaps a John Cena, to curate and take care and protect his relationship with the fans because Cody, when he says he owes everything to the audience and he does everything for the audience, there’s no lie in that whatsoever.”

On how Cody has redefined what it means to be a hero: “Cody is the guy who, no matter what night of the week it is, no matter what city we’re on if Cody’s there, he’s the last guy. He’s signing every autograph, he’s shaking every hand. He has really redefined what it means to be a hero in 2024, in an era where for the last two decades we didn’t think that was possible.”

In a recent episode of the “Short and to the Point” podcast, WWE broadcaster Corey Graves spoke highly of Cody Rhodes’ work ethic and his potential as the next face of WWE. Graves, who has known Rhodes for a long time, praised his dedication and commitment to his craft.

Graves mentioned that he had known Rhodes since his time in NXT and would often travel with him during live event loops. This close relationship allowed Graves to witness Rhodes’ work ethic firsthand. He described Rhodes as someone who puts in an extraordinary amount of work, comparable to the likes of John Cena. Rhodes is known for curating and protecting his relationship with the fans, always striving to give them the best experience possible.

According to Graves, Rhodes genuinely believes that he owes everything to the audience and does everything for them. This level of dedication and gratitude is evident in Rhodes’ interactions with fans. Graves highlighted how Rhodes goes above and beyond to connect with fans, signing autographs and shaking hands with everyone, regardless of the night or city they are in.

Graves also pointed out that Rhodes has redefined what it means to be a hero in the current era. In a time where heroes are often seen as distant or unattainable, Rhodes breaks that mold by being accessible and relatable to his fans. He has shown that being a hero is not just about what happens inside the ring but also about how one interacts with and appreciates their supporters.

Rhodes’ work ethic and dedication to his fans have made him stand out as a potential face of WWE. His commitment to providing the best experience for the audience sets him apart from others in the industry. With his ability to redefine what it means to be a hero, Rhodes has captured the hearts of fans and continues to build a strong connection with them.

As Rhodes continues to excel in his career, it is clear that his hard work and genuine appreciation for his fans will continue to propel him forward. With the support of Corey Graves and others in the industry, Rhodes has the potential to become a prominent figure in WWE and leave a lasting impact on the wrestling world.
