WWE would have had to fork out a considerable sum of money for Mandy Rose to consider having her head shaved in 2020.
Ahead of that year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view event, Rose and Sonya Deville agreed to a Hair Vs. Hair match in what’d be the culmination of their deeply personal rivalry.
In a recent interview with “Monopoly Events,” Rose discussed what WWE would have to do for her to agree to lose her hair. She said,
“Working with Sonya was great because we were best friends and knew each other so well. There was no bad will, we always took care of each other. We were each other all the time, so we talked about wrestling. Working with her during that whole time, it was weird again, because of COVID, unfortunately. If we did do the hair vs. hair match, would I have shaved my head? It depends, they would have had to pay me to shave my head a little more.”
The stipulation was ultimately scrapped after Deville was victim to an attempted kidnapping by Phillip A. Thomas mere days before SummerSlam.
After Deville was advised not to show up in court with a shaved head, the match was made a ‘Loser Leaves WWE’ contest.
Deville lost the match, giving her time to recover from the attempted kidnapping, and would return to TV in December of that year.
