During a recent appearance on Thunder Rosa’s “Taco Vlog,” AEW TBS Champion Julia Hart revealed how she ended up joining the House of Black.
Hart used to be the ring girl for the Varsity Blonds before she got poisoned by Malakai Black’s black mist which led to her joining the heel faction.
Hart said, “I was like, ‘What if I join [the group]? I was actually scared to tell [Black], I told Jerry Lynn, Jerry told him for me and then Malakai came up to me and was like, ‘You don’t like the cheer stuff?’ and I was like, ‘No.’”
On a recent edition of the “Sports Guys Talking Wrestling” podcast, AEW broadcaster Kevin Kelly discussed Nigel McGuinness’ tension with Bryan Danielson.
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
On Nigel McGuinness: “He has a unique point of view, doesn’t he? And that’s really what you want, you want somebody who’s gonna be catchy and memorable and he certainly is that. Again, he finds new ways to outdo himself each and every week when it comes to his love and support of Christian Cage and The Patriarchy, or his disdain towards Bryan Danielson.”
On McGuinness calling Danielson a clam digger: “He calls him a clam digger, which of course is basically shellfish farming in the Pacific Northwest. That was where that phrase came from, he heard that Bryan did this, you know, just like you and I might have a backyard garden. Out in the Pacific Northwest, there are a lot of shellfish farmers, so that’s where clam digger came from. Oh boy, yeah.”
