And Matthew and Nicholas leaning into the EVPs, and just…the celebration afterward, it felt like everything was breathing, [with] Sting’s boys in there and…long-time Sting watchers, which we both are, we would’ve never called ‘Hey, the boys need to get their ass kicked.’ So well done. Absolutely well done.”
Jarrett also addressed Sting’s impending retirement which will come at next month’s Revolution pay-per-view. He said,
“I think in a lot of ways…not just the AEW fanbase, but the professional wrestling fanbase is eager to see a send-off because it truly is [a send-off]. And that’s…when you get down into the promoter mentality, give them something that they’ll never, ever see again, well this is it.
