Kushida Defeats Cameron Grimes In First Match Back From Injury

Kushida made his return to in-ring competition during tonight’s NXT episode, where he came back from a wrist injury that left him out for months. Although he was initially scheduled to take on Raul Mendoza, Mendoza was attacked on his way out to the ring by Cameron Grimes, who took his place in the ring. It didn’t matter much to Kushida, though, who was able to walk away with a victory in his first match back against Grimes.

Kushida kicks Grimes in the head. Grimes falls to the outside. Kushida hits a senton off the top to the outside. Kushida puts Grimes in the octopus. Kushida tries a handspring but Grimes counters into a German suplex. Kushida kicks out. Kushida reverses the backflip German attempt by Grimes into a victory roll for the win.
