Seth Rollins Shares His Frustration Over The Rock’s Involvement in WrestleMania 40

Fans are still talking about the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press conference on Thursday night, where it was announced that Cody Rhodes will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 40.

Rhodes was slapped by The Rock for the comments he made about their family. Now, Seth Rollins is currently without an opponent for his WWE World Title.

Seth Rollins spoke with FOX News about the presser, and you can check out some highlights from the interview below:

On The Rock trying to get the main event spot at WrestleMania: “It’s just what happens when powerful people exert their power. They just think they do whatever they want and get away with it and that sucks. It just sucks. I don’t know any other way to put it. I guess it (resulted) in Cody getting what he wanted. We’ll figure out what’s next for the World Heavyweight title. But Cody said it best. It’s bulls—-. It feels pretty gross to me.”

On Cody Rhodes choosing Roman Reigns: “I sold Cody on this title because I believe in this title and I do think because of Roman Reigns’ lack of independence, for lack of a better term, that this title is more prestigious and means more,” he said. “Especially, going forward, if Roman Reigns keeps his title, this one is only going to get bigger. But I understand where he’s coming from. I never faulted him for wanting to finish the story – it meant so much to him. I understand why he made the decision, and it is what it is and that’s his prerogative as the winner of the Royal Rumble. I don’t know why those idiots thought that was their decision to make.”

On The Rock coming back as a member of the TKO board of directors“The last time he came around, I don’t like (CM) Punk but he did the same thing to Punk, kinda came in and took his main event and did it two years in a row with some very not-so-memorable matches with John Cena. But yeah, now coming back, on the board of directors, like I said man, it feels like gross. I don’t like it. I feel like we gotta do something about it. Just don’t know what that next step is going to be.”

In a surprising turn of events, the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press conference left fans buzzing with the announcement that Cody Rhodes will be challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. This unexpected matchup has raised eyebrows and sparked conversations among wrestling enthusiasts.

The press conference took an intense turn when Rhodes made comments about The Rock and their family, resulting in a slap from the legendary wrestler. This altercation has added fuel to the fire leading up to the highly anticipated WrestleMania 40 event.

Meanwhile, Seth Rollins, the current WWE World Title holder, finds himself without an opponent for his championship match. Rollins recently spoke with FOX News to share his thoughts on the press conference and the developments surrounding WrestleMania 40.

One of the key points Rollins addressed was The Rock’s attempt to secure the main event spot at WrestleMania. Rollins expressed his frustration, stating that powerful individuals often exert their influence and get away with it. He described the situation as “sucks” and emphasized his disappointment with how things unfolded. Rollins also acknowledged that Cody Rhodes ultimately achieved his desired outcome but expressed his dissatisfaction with the circumstances.

Rollins further discussed Rhodes’ decision to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. He explained that he had convinced Rhodes to pursue the title because he believed in its prestige and significance. Rollins highlighted Reigns’ lack of independence as a factor that made the title even more valuable. He acknowledged Rhodes’ desire to conclude a personal storyline and respected his prerogative as the winner of the Royal Rumble. However, Rollins criticized those who believed they had a say in Rhodes’ decision, referring to them as “idiots.”

The conversation also touched upon The Rock’s return as a member of the TKO board of directors. Rollins expressed his disapproval, drawing parallels to The Rock’s previous appearances where he overshadowed other wrestlers’ main events. Rollins mentioned The Rock’s matches with CM Punk and John Cena, describing them as forgettable. He expressed his discomfort with The Rock’s involvement in the decision-making process and hinted at the need for action to address the situation.
