As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, at least two AEW wrestlers were on the receiving end of some fines following their conduct on social media. As you’d expect, many people immediately pointed fingers at Saraya and Santana due to how they often act on Twitter.
According to a report from Fightful Select, neither Saraya or Santana were fined under AEW’s new social media policy.
While there was some speculation about Santana being fined after he posted and then deleted a post that read “6 weeks” on December 7 to indicate frustration for the wrestler noting the last time he appeared on AEW programming, he wasn’t fined. Santana later played into the fine rumors by writing, “Fined me? Yea. Ok. 😂😂😂😂😂😂”
Additionally, an account by the name of “IWrestleVerse” speculated that the new social media policy is the reason why Saraya hasn’t been active on social media as of late. Saraya has since responded, writing,
“I took a long social media break. Not because anyone told me not to haha. Ain’t no one telling s*** about my twitter I can do what I want 🫶🏻”
Fined me?
Yea. Ok. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

In recent news, there have been reports of fines being issued to AEW wrestlers for their conduct on social media. While many speculated that Saraya and Santana were the ones fined due to their often controversial behavior on Twitter, it has been revealed that they were not penalized under AEW’s new social media policy.
According to a report from Fightful Select, neither Saraya nor Santana received fines for their actions on social media. This comes as a surprise to some, especially considering Santana’s post on December 7 where he expressed frustration by writing “6 weeks,” indicating the last time he appeared on AEW programming. However, despite deleting the post, he was not fined. Santana further fueled the rumors of a fine by sarcastically stating, “Fined me? Yea. Ok.”
Additionally, there has been speculation that Saraya’s absence from social media is due to the new policy. An account called “IWrestleVerse” suggested that the policy was the reason for her inactivity. However, Saraya responded to these claims by stating that she took a break from social media voluntarily and that no one has control over her Twitter account. She asserted, “Ain’t no one telling s*** about my twitter I can do what I want.”
It is interesting to see how AEW is implementing a social media policy to regulate the conduct of its wrestlers online. This move reflects the growing influence and impact of social media in the wrestling industry. Wrestlers are now being held accountable for their actions and words on platforms like Twitter, where their behavior can directly affect their professional image and the reputation of the company they represent.
While it is not clear what specific actions led to fines for other AEW wrestlers, it is evident that Saraya and Santana were not among those penalized. This raises questions about the criteria for imposing fines and the extent to which wrestlers are expected to adhere to the new social media policy.
As fans, it is important to remember that wrestlers are individuals with their own thoughts and opinions. While they may have a public persona, they also have the right to express themselves freely. However, it is crucial for them to be mindful of the impact their words can have and to exercise responsibility when using social media platforms.
In conclusion, the recent reports of fines being issued to AEW wrestlers for their conduct on social media have sparked interest and speculation among fans. While Saraya and Santana were not fined under AEW’s new social media policy, it highlights the growing importance of social media in the wrestling industry and the need for wrestlers to be mindful of their behavior online. It will be interesting to see how AEW continues to navigate this new policy and how it affects the conduct of its wrestlers on social media platforms.
