Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bate could be main roster-bound.

“There has at least been talk of Bate going to the main roster. His size isn’t particularly right for that but the size thing isn’t as big a deal now with Vince McMahon out of the picture and Paul Levesque being more open minded as to who can be a top star. Williams is the one coming into this match with the most momentum, and this could be where the Williams/Carmelo Hayes mystery attacker storyline climaxes,” Meltzer wrote.

There has been speculation about a WWE NXT star making the transition to the main roster in 2024. This discussion arose following the NXT Deadline event that took place on Saturday night in Bridgeport, CT, at The Total Mortgage Arena.

The event featured several matches, including the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge and Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge. The main event of the evening was a match between WWE NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov and Baron Corbin. In the men’s match, fans witnessed Dijak, Trick Williams, Josh Briggs, Bron Breakker, and Tyler Bate showcase their skills.

According to Dave Meltzer’s report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is talk of Tyler Bate potentially moving up to the main roster. While Bate’s size may not be ideal for the main roster, it is worth noting that size is not as significant a factor now with Vince McMahon no longer in charge and Paul Levesque (Triple H) being more open-minded about who can become a top star.

Among the participants in the match, Trick Williams seems to have the most momentum going into this event. This match could also serve as the climax of the Williams/Carmelo Hayes mystery attacker storyline.

Tyler Bate has been a standout performer in NXT, known for his technical skills and high-flying abilities. He first gained recognition as part of the British Strong Style faction alongside Pete Dunne and Trent Seven. Bate went on to win the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament in 2017 at just 19 years old, becoming the youngest singles champion in WWE history.

Bate’s potential move to the main roster opens up exciting possibilities for his future in WWE. While his size may not fit the traditional mold of a top star, his talent and charisma have won over fans and critics alike. Bate’s unique style and innovative moveset could bring a fresh dynamic to the main roster.

It is important to note that these discussions about Bate’s transition to the main roster are still in the early stages, and nothing has been confirmed. WWE often keeps its plans under wraps until they are ready to make official announcements. However, the speculation surrounding Bate’s potential move has generated excitement among fans who are eager to see him compete on a larger stage.

As the landscape of WWE continues to evolve, with NXT undergoing significant changes and a renewed focus on developing new talent, the opportunities for stars like Tyler Bate to make their mark on the main roster have never been greater. Whether or not Bate ultimately makes the transition, his journey in NXT and the potential for his future in WWE is certainly something worth keeping an eye on.
