It is time for another week of the Ultimate Power Rankings from both WWE and AEW. Who improved their stock from last week and who downgraded their position among the rest?
This set ranges from Monday (November 27) and to Sunday (December 3). This means that all the results and highlights from this week’s Raw, NXT, AEW Dynamite, SmackDown, AEW Rampage, and AEW Collision will all play a factor in the rankings.
If a wrestler has a (+) next to their name, then that means that they moved up the rankings from last week’s edition. When there is a (-) next to their name, then that means that they moved down from the rankings from last week. If there is nothing next to their name, then that means that they stayed at the same spot.
Without further ado, let’s get into this week’s Power Rankings for WWE and AEW!
WWE TOP 10 POWER RANKINGS:
10. Wes Lee (NR)
Lee prevailed over Bronson Reed, Cameron Grimes, and Johnny Gargano in a fatal-four way match to become #1 contender for the NXT North American Championship.
9. Gunther (-5)
The Intercontinental Champion is teasing another title defense against The Miz, ultimately will lead to another historic retainment.
8. Shinsuke Nakamura (+1)
Nakamura made his intentions known; he was talking about Cody Rhodes. Now, Nakamura will turn his attention to a short feud with Rhodes. Despite probably losing the feud, it’s great to have Nakamura consistently on TV.
7. Santos Escobar
Escobar continued his winning ways by besting Joaquin Wilde on SmackDown. Expect Escobar to continue picking up dubs before an eventual match with Rey Mysterio.
6. The Creed Brothers (NR)
The new #1 contender’s for the Tag Team Titles belong to Brutus and Julius Creed. It is great to see the Creeds get a quick opportunity so early into coming on the main roster.
5. The Judgment Day (+1)
The Judgment Day have new #1 contender’s for their Undisputed Tag Team Titles. Dominik Mysterio also has a new #1 contender for his North American Championship in Lee. Ripley also had a great promo duel with Randy Orton on Raw.
4. Cody Rhodes (-1)
Rhodes next stop gap before WrestleMania is a feud with Nakamura. Rhodes will most certainly come out on top leading into the Royal Rumble.
3. Randy Orton (+2)
Orton made his singles return on Raw, defeating Dominik Mysterio. Then on SmackDown, Orton signed with the blue brand, leaving Raw, in hopes of getting his hands on Roman Reigns and The Bloodline.
2. CM Punk (-1)
Punk made his grand return to Monday Night Raw. It wasn’t the best promo in the world, but it did the job reasonably well, hopefully setting up Punk to an injury-free final run of his career.
1. Seth Rollins (+1)
The path to Rollins finally main eventing a WrestleMania is upon us, as the arrival of Punk and Rollins name dropping him in his Raw promo have continued to progress the speculation of them two hosing off at Mania. For now, Rollins will continue his feud with Dow McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship, and also will defend against Jey Uso next week.
AEW TOP 10 POWER RANKINGS:
10. Skye Blue (-2)
Blue is set to face off against “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
9. Andrade El Idolo (NR)
Andrade prevailed against Daniel Garcia in the Continental Classic of the Blue League on Collision.
8. The Patriarchy (-2)
Christian Cage is defending his TNT Championship against Adam Copeland next week in Montreal, Canada.
7. Samoa Joe
Joe is facing MJF at World’s End and next week him and MJF will team up to face the devils on Dynamite. It is certain that a reveal of the devil is rapidly approaching. And with MJF’s injury, Joe stands a solid chance at walking out of Long Island with the AEW World Championship.
6. Orange Cassidy (-4)
Things have been kinda of wonky for Cassidy recently, as he hasn’t been involved in any big feuds since retaining against Jon Moxley at Full Gear. He’s still obviously great and hopefully he gets back in the big picture of AEW.
5. Jon Moxley (+4)
Moxley pulled away for a win in the Gold League’s Continental Classic, winning by submission over Jay Lethal on Dynamite.
4. Julia Hart (+1)
Hart retained the TBS Championship against Emi Sakura on Dynamite. On Collision, she interrupted Abadon, setting up a future date between them two for the title.
3. MJF
The AEW World Champion bounced back after a rocky week, cutting a very good promo about Samoa Joe and teasing of the devil.
2. House of Black (+2)
The group picked up two more victories this week, both on Collision. Brody King pulled off another upset by beating Claudio Castagnoli in the Blue League of the Continental Classic. Then, Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews knocked off Christopher Daniels and Matt Sedan in tag team competition.
1. Mogul Embassy
Swerve Strickland continues to show he is a money-making star, racking up another victory in the Continental Classic’s Gold League, defeating Jay White.
