One lucky fan could leave a WWE live event $10,000 richer if they are capable of knocking Omos off his feet.
Last night, WWE arrived in Saginaw, Michigan and MVP offered quite the opportunity to members of the WWE Universe in attendance. He said,
“See, I know that this area for quite some time, has been economically challenged. Most of you could barely afford your ticket tonight. So, I’m giving you an opportunity to change your life. I have $10,000 right here, more money than any of you have seen at one time. I am putting up $10,000 of my money to anyone that can knock the Nigerian Giant off his feet.”
It’s unclear if anyone took MVP up on his challenge. Omos would defeat Akira Tozawa during the show without ever being knocked off his feet.
MVP isn’t the first Superstar to make a unique wager in WWE history. In 2005, Kurt Angle bet his Olympic Gold Medal that opponents wouldn’t be able to last five minutes with him in the ring.
Years earlier, Ted DiBiase Sr. paid fans to perform demeaning tasks, including a young Rob Van Dam who was paid to kiss Ted’s feet.

He offered a unique opportunity to members of the WWE Universe in attendance – a chance to win $10,000 if they could knock down the imposing Nigerian Giant, Omos.
MVP acknowledged the economic challenges faced by the local community and wanted to give back in a significant way. He stated, “I have $10,000 right here, more money than any of you have seen at one time. I am putting up $10,000 of my money to anyone that can knock the Nigerian Giant off his feet.”

This isn’t the first time a WWE Superstar has made a unique wager or offered an enticing challenge. In 2005, Kurt Angle famously bet his Olympic Gold Medal that no opponent could last five minutes with him in the ring. This added an extra layer of excitement and stakes to his matches.
Going even further back in WWE history, Ted DiBiase Sr., also known as “The Million Dollar Man,” would pay fans to perform demeaning tasks. One notable instance involved a young Rob Van Dam being paid to kiss Ted’s feet. These unconventional bets and challenges have become part of WWE’s rich storytelling tradition.
