The AEW Full Gear 2023 main event which saw MJF retain the AEW World Championship against ‘Switchblade’ Jay White has not gone down well with wrestling fans.
On the pre-show, MJF and Samoa Joe retained the ROH World Tag Team Championships against The Gunns who attacked MJF after the match.
During the Full Gear 2023 pay-per-view event, it was announced that MJF wouldn’t be able to compete due to his ‘injury’ and the legitimately injured Adam Cole volunteered himself for the match.
The main event saw the ‘injured’ MJF defend his title against White. Despite White’s efforts and using the championship as a weapon, MJF retained.
On Cagematch.net, the fans have made their voice heard, with the bout currently sitting on a 4.42 rating out of ten.
This is the lowest rating of any match at AEW Full Gear 2023 and the lowest rating of any AEW pay-per-view main event.
The AEW Women’s World Championship match is the second-lowest rated match from Full Gear 2023 with Toni Storm’s win earning a 4.86 rating.
The highest ranking for the night goes to the Texas Death Match between Swerve Strickland and ‘Hangman’ Page which earned a 9.65 rating.
