On her time in WWE: “I think in WWE, I often would — for better or for worse — do what I’m told. Sometimes people would want me a little bit more over-the-top, or a little bit more annoying, and … I feel like I did it very well.”
On the difference in presentation styles between WWE and AEW: “You go and you watch John Cena or The Rock or a lot of WWE-style promos, they are slower, especially live. And it’s because they’re trying to get the whole arena to get as loud as possible. … I personally feel that that style in WWE … is what is losing the younger demographic, and I think AEW has a faster-paced match style, [and] a faster-paced promo style. It’s very natural, it’s very organic.”

On his dancing: “I would just do it [dance] when we would go out. I think we were in El Paso for the first time in like a big Latin community, I had a match with Ricky Starks, and was like, ‘You know what I’m going to get this crowd into it right now.’ I started busting out like a little dance, the crowd started like, coming up for it and I’m like, ‘Okay, that was cool.’ Maybe it’s something that I will throw in the heat, every once in a while, maybe it’s something I throw in as like a little taunt. Then, you know, by the time Forbidden Door this year in Toronto, it took on a life of its own.”
On wanting to see Copeland & Cage vs. The Hardys: “Edge was one of my favorite wrestlers growing up. I was always a huge fan of his. Obviously, they do everything to the best of their abilities, but I know they would do it justice … You would go into the match knowing how to make it the best version of what it can be in this year, which I think is amazing, perfect, and I think a lot of people could learn a lot from that.”
