As you all know by now, Steel was fired from All Elite Wrestling following the All Out 2022 backstage brawl. He would ultimately return to AEW by working remotely. After CM Punk was fired from AEW after his backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All In 2023, Steel was once again released.

While this will obviously lead to a ton of speculation that CM Punk could appear at Bound for Glory 2023, there is no confirmation on that actually happening. Many wouldn’t be surprised to see CM Punk at the show (at least in a backstage capacity) due to the show taking place in his hometown. Punk has attended previous Impact Wrestling TV tapings in Chicago.
