During a recent virtual signing for “Golden Ring Collectibles,” Impact Wrestling star Moose revealed that there were plans for him to wrestle Monty Brown at a TNA Wrestling tribute show called ‘There’s No Place Like Home’ in 2020.
The match would have marked Brown’s first match since 2007. Brown took a hiatus from WWE that year due to family issues and was later released, before retiring.
Moose said, “That’s a match I always wanted but…So there was talks. It was before COVID happened. We were supposed to be doing a WrestleMania show, like how every company does a show during WrestleMania weekend. It was in Tampa, and the talks was it supposed to be me versus Monty Brown. But COVID happened and shut down the whole thing.”
The Grizzled Young Veterans (The Dyad) made their return to the ring at Deadlock Pro Wrestling’s Live 3 and defeated the Workhorsemen to earn a shot at the DPW Tag Team Championships.
Fightful Select is reporting that the appearance was planned over a week in advance and kept secret.
Zack Gibson (Rip Fowler) and James Drake (Jagger Reid) quit WWE following the expiration of their contracts last week.
And finally, AEW wrestler Lance Archer got fans speculating with his recent tweet earlier this month, writing,
“I ain’t Fkn goin anywhere!”
The tweet is not a reference to Archer signing a new AEW contract.
