Konnan, the AAA booker, recently revealed that Bryan Danielson, also known as Daniel Bryan, had agreed to come to Mexico for a match before he broke his arm at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 pay-per-view event. Konnan shared this information on his “Keepin’ It 100” podcast.

According to Konnan, he had a conversation with Danielson, who had previously worked in Mexico about 12 years ago. Konnan expressed his interest in bringing Danielson back to Mexico and asked if he would be interested in doing something there again. Danielson responded positively, saying he was open to the idea and even mentioned a few potential opponents.

Unfortunately, due to Danielson’s injury, the plans were put on hold. Konnan mentioned that he would need to talk to Danielson again once he recovers to revisit the possibility of a match in Mexico.

This revelation from Konnan highlights the ongoing collaboration between different wrestling promotions and the willingness of wrestlers to explore opportunities outside their home promotion.
