Will Dolph Ziggler succeed in AEW should the former WWE Superstar sign with the All Elite promotion? Disco Inferno doesn’t think so.
A two-time former World Heavyweight Champion, Ziggler was the biggest name cut from WWE during the most recent wave of releases from the roster.
Speaking on a recent edition of the “K100” podcast, Disco Inferno was asked how he thinks Ziggler would fare in AEW and didn’t like the Show-Off’s chances. He said,
“No [On if he sees Dolph Ziggler as the main eventer in AEW]. I don’t have any confidence in any creative things in AEW…I could see him coming out and wrestling for the International Championship. And like then you don’t see him for two weeks, that’s what I think they would do with Dolph Ziggler. I have zero confidence in the creative over there.
“They would bring him in and put him in a position to lose it to the guys on the roster that he should not be losing to. That is what I think they would do with Dolph Ziggler. I bet that happens if they sign him. We’ll be talking about this like three months from now.”
Dolph Ziggler is currently waiting out his 90-day non-compete clause with WWE and is unable to appear or sign with another promotion until December 20.

Former WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler’s potential move to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has sparked discussions about his chances of success in the promotion. One person who doesn’t believe in Ziggler’s prospects is Disco Inferno, a former professional wrestler himself.
Ziggler, a two-time former World Heavyweight Champion, was among the notable names released by WWE in their recent roster cuts. With his non-compete clause set to expire on December 20, fans and industry insiders have been speculating about his next move.
During a recent episode of the “K100” podcast, Disco Inferno shared his thoughts on Ziggler’s potential AEW career. He expressed skepticism about the creative direction of AEW and its ability to utilize Ziggler effectively.
Disco Inferno stated, “I don’t have any confidence in any creative things in AEW… I could see him coming out and wrestling for the International Championship. And then you don’t see him for two weeks, that’s what I think they would do with Dolph Ziggler. I have zero confidence in the creative over there.”
He further added, “They would bring him in and put him in a position to lose it to the guys on the roster that he should not be losing to. That is what I think they would do with Dolph Ziggler. I bet that happens if they sign him. We’ll be talking about this like three months from now.”
Disco Inferno’s comments reflect his doubts about AEW’s ability to handle Ziggler’s character and booking. He believes that Ziggler may be used sporadically and potentially lose matches against wrestlers who are not on his level.
However, it’s important to note that these are just one person’s opinions, and the wrestling industry is full of surprises. AEW has proven itself to be a viable alternative to WWE, attracting a loyal fan base and showcasing talented performers.
As fans eagerly await Ziggler’s next move, it remains to be seen how AEW would utilize his skills and character. The promotion has a track record of providing opportunities to wrestlers who were underutilized in other promotions, allowing them to shine and reach their full potential.
Until Ziggler’s non-compete clause expires, fans can only speculate about his future in AEW or any other promotion. Wrestling enthusiasts can stay updated on all the latest news and developments in the industry by visiting eWrestlingNews.com or following their Twitter and Facebook pages.
In conclusion, while Disco Inferno may have doubts about Dolph Ziggler’s potential success in AEW, it’s ultimately up to the promotion to prove him wrong. Only time will tell if Ziggler can make a significant impact in AEW and establish himself as a top star in the promotion.
