Chris Sabin defeated Lio Rush in the main event of Impact 1000 (Night One) to become the new X-Division Champion.
Sabin put Rush away with a Tanaka Punch, the Shell Shock, and hit the Cradle Shock to score the title victory.
Sabin is now a 10-time X-Division Champion, surpassing his own record for the number of title reigns.
Rush’s maiden reign comes to an end at 56 days, having won the title from Sabin at Impact Slammiversary 2023 back in July.

Impact 1000 kicked off with a Feast or Fired match featuring Moose, Heath, Maclin, Laredo Kid, Johnny Swinger, Crazzy Steve, Joe Hendy, Yuya Uemura, Jonathan Gresham, Black Taurus, PCO, Sami Callihan, John Skyler, Chris Bey, KUSHIDA, Brian Myers, Kevin Knight, Bhupinder Gujjar, Jai Vidal, John E. Bravo and others.
The match saw Rhyno make his return to Impact Wrestling as the veteran wrestler went after Maclin.
Maclin had previously put Rhyno out of action during his Impact World Title defense on the May 11th episode of IMPACT on AXS TV.
Chris Bey, Moose, Yuya Uemura, and Crazzy Steve won the four briefcases each of which contain title shots or pink slips.

And finally, Lee Moriarty joined Shane Taylor Promotions on this week’s edition of ROH TV.
Thursday’s show saw Moriarty come out to distract Lee Johnson during the latter’s match with Taylor, which allowed Shane to score the win.
Later in the show, Taylor was interviewed alongside Moriarty and he claimed that his stable has been carrying ROH for many years and that he was tired of people telling him to be humble and pay his dues.
Taylor then announced Moriarty as a member of the faction.
