Taz Says He’s Been In Recent Talks With Wrestling Promotions About Returning To Commentary
Taz says he’s been in talks about a return to commentary with a few companies, but the right opportunity hasn’t presented itself.
Taz responded to a fan question asking if he missed calling commentary, or if he’d entertain the idea of a return to the booth by saying he misses it “very much,” and said there were other companies to work for, not just WWE. Taz then posted the following, revealing he’s talked with a few promotions in recent months. While he didn’t reveal who he’d been talking to specifically, Taz did note that they just weren’t the right fit for him and his career goals right now.
As far as commentary, truth be told…over the past several months I have had healthy in-depth conversations with a few Pro Wrestling companies.. just not the right fit for me (and my goals) with those individual organizations at the moment….

After his in-ring career came to an end, Taz made his name as a commentator for WWE on their SmackDown and ECW brands. Following his exit from the company in 2009, he had a six-year run with TNA as an on-air character before moving back to the broadcast booth until 2015. He is currently co-hosting Taz and The Moose with Marc “The Moose” Malusis on CBS Sports Radio weekdays from 6-9 a.m. Eastern, and hosts his own podcast, The Taz Show.
