WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam has praised Brock Lesnar as one of the most outstanding individuals to ever enter the wrestling business.

Debuting on WWE programming in 2002, Lesnar would leave in 2004 and have a highly successful UFC career before his return to wrestling in 2012.

On “1 Of A Kind,” Van Dam said that Lesnar’s UFC credentials have helped him greatly during his WWE career. He said,

“Brock Lesnar is, in my opinion, one of the most outstanding individuals to be in the industry. The fact that he can be the UFC Champion at the same time, and legitimately brag about being the toughest guy in the world … that’s so good for the business. And he’s so good for the business. He’s what a pro wrestler should be, he’s a great amateur wrestler that went pro because he was so damn good.”

RVD went on to question who else would have made sense as the one to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak and shared his reaction at the time. He said,

“I was shocked at the shock. I couldn’t believe how the boys [in the locker room] turned into little kids … I’m like, ‘Wow, Why did they care so much?’ I couldn’t believe it.”

Lesnar’s most recent match saw the Beast lose to Cody Rhodes at WWE SummerSlam 2023 earlier this month.
