WWE Hall Of Famer/former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Terry Funk has passed away.
He broke into the business in the mid-1960s for his father’s Western States Sports promotion, where he went on to work for various promotions, including WWE, ECW, NWA, Championship Wrestling from Florida, All Japan Pro Wrestling, and Continental Wrestling Association.
In the late 90s, Funk became the ECW Champion at Barely Legal in 1997, the promotion’s first pay-per-view event, and was seen as a veteran who made countless stars.
In recent years, Funk battled dementia in recent years. Our thoughts are with Funk’s friends and family.
