The Miz Costs LA Knight US Title Opportunity, John Cena, Kurt Angle & Others Celebrate Edge
The Miz prevented LA Knight from earning a shot at the United States Championship on Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
Knight battled Austin Theory in a #1 contender’s match for the United States Title currently held by Rey Mysterio.
During the match, The Miz was at ringside and distracted Knight, which allowed Theory to score the victory via a roll-up pinfall and earn the title shot.

John Cena and Kurt Angle were among those who appeared in clips paying tribute to Edge on Friday’s WWE SmackDown.
The August 18th show was a celebration of the Edge’s 25 years with WWE, and the episode featured videos from Cena, Angle, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Becky Lynch, Rey Mysterio, and The Miz.
