Davey Boy Smith Jr. Wins 2023 Opera Cup, ROH Taping Note

Davey Boy Smith Jr. was crowned the winner of the 2023 Opera Cup on this week’s MLW Fusion.

Thursday’s show saw Smith defeat Tracy Williams in the finals of the tournament to win the 2023 Opera Cup.

Following the victory, Smith cut a promo in which he declared he is coming for the MLW World Championship.

Smith is now a two-time winner, having previously won the 2019 Opera Cup.

Ring of Honor was taped Wednesday night at Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen so that AEW could get ahead of its schedule as it prepares to travel to the United Kingdom for All In 2023.

Next week’s episode of Rampage will reportedly be taped at Saturday’s Collision, and next week’s Collision will be taped next Wednesday at Dynamite.
