AEW Bumps ‘Fight For The Fallen’ Events To Next Week, The Reason Why Revealed

Due to the horrific wildfires that took place in Maui, Hawaii earlier this week, Tony Khan has announced that he’s bumped the annual “Fight For The Fallen” events to next week.

On Friday, the AEW President took to Twitter to announce that next week’s episodes of Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision will all feature the “Fight For The Fallen” theme. All of the proceeds from the events will go to the Maui Food Bank.

At least 55 people have been killed in the wildfires and many others are unaccounted for. Most of the popular island has been completely destroyed. Khan wrote,

“Based on the horrific fires in Maui,
I’ve changed AEW’s upcoming schedule to provide assistance.

Proceeds from AEW on 8/16 Nashville + 8/19 Lexington will go to @MauiFoodBank.”

AEW’s “Fight For The Fallen” events debuted back in 2019 to benefit victims of gun violence. In 2020, the shows raised money for COVID-19 relief. In 2021, the proceeds from the shows went to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors. And last year’s Fight For the Fallen benefited non-profit marine wildlife organization Oceana.

Tickets for three AEW events in September and early October are now on sale. Tickets for the following events are now on sale to the general public:

* October 7th (Salt Lake City, Utah)Purchase Tickets

And finally, Bayley superfan Izzy Moreno will be making her professional wrestling debut at Mission Pro Wrestling’s event on Saturday. WWE Hall of Famer Madusa recently took to Twitter to wish Izzy the best of luck in her debut match against Jazmin Allure. She wrote,
